Second Star Pictures Casting Call for Extras

Second Star Pictures is casting extras for its new film, “BETRAYED”. Shooting will take place in a private Troy residence, this weekend, February 11-12. You will be needed for a minimum of 4 hours; or you can stay longer to be in other scenes. You are welcome to be there for Saturday’s shoot, Sunday’s shoot or both. Shooting each day will begin in the afternoon and last until evening.
Available Roles:
- Extras: We are looking for men and women, approximately aged 35-55, variety of races preferred, for background guests at a casual home party.
Compensation:
These are non-paid, non-union roles, but you will receive credit, a DVD of the finished film, an opportunity to work with talented, serious filmmakers — and it will be a lot of fun!

Web Series TV Show Casting
Aroberson Production in association with RJ Productions is creating their very first web series. They are currently casting for 4 leads in this season which is season 1. We are also casting for many recurring roles. Project will be shooting in Sterling Heights and Roseville. Talent will be needed over a course of 3 months depending on the role. Shooting starts in mid March 2012.
“LIVING IT UP” is a 30-minute dramedy TV show centered around the life of Bianca Hicks, a psychology student trying to make it in a world where it is all about the money. You will see many characters, some will stay and some will just have to go. This show is going to be full of love, laughter, and even disaster
Available Roles:
- Bianca Hicks: (lead role) African American, early 20′s. Psychology student, very peaceful and calm girl. She is the girlfriend to model Darrius jones.
- Darrius Jones: (lead role) African American, early 20′s. Model. Darrius is a go getter and is used to getting what he wants. He is laid back and drama free. Biancas boyfriend
- Raquell Moore: (lead role) African American, early 20′s. An outgoing and very outspoken woman. Raquell is not afraid to say the first thing that comes to mind, she speaks the “truth” she ia Biancas best friend
- Chris Jackson: (lead role) African American, early 20′s. Biancas ex-boyfriend. Chris is cool. Outgoing and an overall loving person. He is an aspiring acting and he is a dream chaser
- Extras and Recurring Roles: Open ethnicity, any age. All types and sizes are needed.
Compensation:
These are not paid roles. Talent will receive a copy of the complete season, credit, tons of exposure, food on set, cast interviews, photo session for DVD and 3 tickets to the premier. The film will also be shown in many film festivals.

Extras Needed for Mock Trial Courtroom Scene

Extras are needed for the filming of a mock trial courtroom scene. Told in 6 5-minute episodes, “Mock Justice” is a courtroom drama webseries set in the world of high school mock trial (think “Law & Order” meets “Saved by the Bell.”) While the cases, attorneys, defendants, and plaintiffs are all fake, the stakes of each trial are VERY real to the students involved.

Casting for Independent Film
Delasha Entertainment will be holding a 2nd casting call to fill the remaining roles for their newest indie film, “The First Fam”. Looking for actors age 14 and older.

- Jamal James: (The first son) African American male (look) between the ages of 13-16. Must be able to perform rap lyrics.(will be asked to perform rap in audition)
- Katherine Kneel: (Press Secretary) Open ethnicity, ages 25-40. Must be very well-spoken & attractive.
- (10) Secret Service Agents: 7 males, 3 females. Open ethnicity, ages 25-40. Must be fit.
- Two White House Guards/ Marines: Male, open ethnicity, ages 20-40. Must have access to a Marine uniform. (dress blues)
- Alex Williams: (CNN White House Correspondent) Well spoken, clean-cut African American male between the ages of 25-40.
- Jamal’s Rap Group Members: (Ralow, B-Nice, & Kyrun) Male, African American, ages 14-16. Must be able to perform rap lyrics. (will be asked to perform a rap in the audition).
- Executive Assistant to the President: Open ethnicity, ages 45+

Plot:
Jim helps George and Douglas, his son and stepson, clean out his ex-wife Clara’s, house after her death. While wandering around the house, Jim finds a photograph of George and himself. At George’s 8th birthday he remembers this day as, after an argument with Mary Anne, Clara’s mother, and Clara, his ex-wife tried to take his son away from him.
Available Roles:
- JIM (Past): Early 30′s, Caucasian male, average height, husky build, short dark hair. Construction worker. Quick to anger, but loves his son.
- JIM (Present): Mid 50′s, Caucasian male, salt and pepper hair. Retired EMT. A reserved and proud man, but emotional about his ex-wife’s death.
- CLARA (Past): Early 30′s, Caucasian female, short height, beautiful flowing long brown hair. Substitute teacher. Two months pregnant. Tolerant and civil, but has her limits.
- GARY (Past): Early 30′s, Caucasian male, tall and athletic, brown hair, clean cut. History teacher. Marathon runner. Polite and oblivious.

A Crossover Parody of Twilight and the Twilight Zone

Synopsis:
Clarence is an obsessive-compulsive germ-a-phobe who has lost all hope in ever having a love life. However, his structured life is shaken upside down when his roommate’s messy and wild cousin, Jess, comes to live with them to heal from an addiction. Jess’s dark past and prying nature clash with Clarence’s ordered existence, and challenge him to overcome his fears and give dating one more shot.

- Jess: Female. 20s/early 30s. Wild, attractive, a hot mess, recovering alcoholic and drug addict, “easy” around most guys, intrusive, but has a good heart inside. Succumbing to her dark past, she has a drinking relapse, but still pushes Clarence to get back out into the dating world.
- Shane: Male. 20s. Clarence’s roommate and Jess’s cousin. Kind, generally happy, usually considerate of Clarence. He takes a trip to a conference, leaving Clarence alone with Jess.
- Scott: Male. 20s/early 30s. A jerk, disrespectful, mistreats and exploits Jess, uses her to satisfy his lust but doesn’t really care about her, a drinker, and wild.
- Alana: Female. 20s. A friend of Jess’s friend. Jess matches her up with Clarence. She is smart, cute, understanding, and intuitive. She helps resolve the story as Clarence’s dating interest.

Casting Call for Short Film
A local filmmaker and producer is looking to cast actors and extras for an upcoming project. A casting call will be held at Wayne State University on February 4th, 2012.

Available Roles:
- Cecil: A 50-60 year old man, white, whose alcohol addiction has destroyed his family and forced him onto the streets. Cecil must be able to display quiet emotions through his eyes as he expresses his frustration with his inability to kick his addiction and his guilt over killing his family in a car crash.
- Mary: The wife of Cecil, 30s, who will be seen in flashbacks during the moments of happiness and frustration in their marriage.
- Kate: Cecil’s daughter. Between the ages of 7 and 10. like Mary, she will be seen in Cecil’s memories of times with his family.
- Extras: Passerbys on the street, dressed in casual clothes or business attire, Between the ages of 20 and 60. A male and a female of relatively same age to play a couple walking down the street. Age/Race not important. A clothing store clerk. Age/Race not important. A barber. Age/race not important.
NOTE: Most of the Extra roles are interchangeable and will only require a few days of shooting. Cecil, however will need to be available for all production days, which are all on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Compensation:
These are all unpaid roles, but all actors involved will receive a final cut of the movie that they will be able to use in their demo reels.

50 Extras Needed for Restaurant Scene

“A Dog for Christmas” is seeking 50 extras for a restaurant scene on Thursday, January 26th from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. The shoot will take place in Grand Rapids, MI. If you would like to appear in this holiday feature film that was recently covered by local Fox17 when Dean Cain was on set, please contact us as soon as possible.
