Production Assistants (PA) are committed to working 20 hours a week for 3 months (June 1, 2010 – September 3, 2010). There will be a set schedule, but based on productions the PA schedule may change. If time is required off, it is the PA’s responsibility to notify the Video Production Coordinator in writing.
Minimal Requirements:
- An educational background in video production such as an EFE/EFA high school video related program OR a Film/Video/Media related class from a secondary school (WMU, KVCC, etc…)
- Know how to operate a camera
- Know how to use Final Cut
- Must take direction well and ask questions when unclear with an assignment
Job Description:
- Video tape assigned productions
- Edit assigned productions
- Create DVDs of PMN Productions
- Assist as crew (camera operating, running audio, switching shots…) for van productions
- Assist the Video Production Coordinator in creating promotional media and teaching tools for the PMN workshops
- Assist the Video Production Coordinator in maintaining the PMN equipment and facility
Compensation:
$7.40 per hour
