The Steve Barman Show is Detroit’s first and only DIY talk show. This Internet-based show (see below for link) features interviews with leaders of Detroit’s social, political, art, and music communities all hosted by Steve Barman the force behind, Detroit’s oldest music blog. The aim of the show is to provide an outlet for the people who work and create in Detroit to tell their story in their own words and broadcast it to the world. The episodes feature one political or community leader, one artist, and one musical act that then performs to close out the night.

Available Crew Positions:


  • Six (6) Production Assistants


  • Three (3) Camera Operators
  • Two (2) Assistant Camera

Grip / Electric:

  • One (1) Grip / Electrician

Art Department:

  • One (1) Set/Props/Construction
  • One (1) Hair/Makeup Artist

Catering / Craft Services:

  • One or Two (1-2) Catering / Craft Services Crew


This is an extremely low budget production, however we will be providing catering and craft services on set, both on build days and on shooting days. All crew will be credited in each episode, and provided with a DVD (when our workload allows) of each finished episode.
