Casting Actors for Potential SAG New Media Webisode
Currently casting 3 roles for independently-produced comedic webisode. “Extended Slate” is a parody of the slates created of actors who end up revealing too much about themselves in their videos. This webisode focuses on 3 “actors” who come from very different backgrounds, all of whom end up telling us about themselves than we ever needed to know.
The producer of this project intends to become a SAG New Media signatory. For this to occur, a cast must first be secured. Union actors are preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered. This Project should only require one shooting day.
Audition Details:
Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 14th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm in Oakland County. Selected actors will be notified by email and provided with audition time, location, and appropriate sides.
Available Roles:
- ALEXA: (Female, 25-‐45; Lead) Over-‐confident woman who thinks the world revolves around her. She is oblivious to the fact that she has no acting talent whatsoever. All of her limited success has come as a result of luck. Thinks that any story she tells is the most interesting story ever told.
- RAYLEEN: (Female, 25-‐45; Lead) Slightly eccentric woman who hails from small-‐town Tennessee. She grew up on the farm and doesn’t have a clue as to how to play the acting game. The actress chosen for this role needs to be comfortable speaking with a Southern accent.
- GEORGE: (Male, 25-‐45; Lead) A guy who looks tough on the outside, but tends to be very emotional, especially when it comes to his childhood and his family. Frustrated that he keeps getting cast according to his look. When he is stressed, he shows signs of a personality disorder.
Compensation:
To be determined, pending approval of SAG New Media contract (pay may be deferred). All selected actors will receive copy/credit/meal and transportation reimbursement.
How to Apply:
If interested, please send headshot and resume (and links to past work, if possible) to: extendedslate@yahoo.com
NOTE: In the email subject line, please specify the desired role. Also, be sure to include union status (or SAG eligibility) somewhere in your email.
