Casting a voice actor for the short student film, “In the Scope of Things”. Shooting will take place in the Grand Rapids area.

Plot:

This film is a dramatic twist on your normal assassin’s tale as we learn about the family man behind the scope and what he’s willing to give up so he can stop deceiving those he loves.

Available Roles:

  • Nathan “Assassin”: (Voice Actor) Male, 30’s-40’s – An assassin; strongly devoted to his family but doubting whether he is living up to the hero his family thinks he is. Narrating interior monologue.

Compensation:

This is a volunteer-based project. Compensation and travel expenses will not be provided.

Voice Over Casting for Indie Feature Film

TRK Productions is looking for voice actors for the independent feature film, “Enduring Destiny” who would be available for some very brief ADR sessions. Looking for older male and older female sounding voices. Recording will take place in East Lansing, Michigan, at the actor’s earliest convenience.

Available Roles:

  • Father Character: Priority one at this time is finding the right voice for a father character in the film; it’s a coming-of age story about a young man, 18 or 19, and his experiences at college.
  • Older Man: We need a man, perhaps in his 70’s or 80’s, who has a distinct older voice like a “Charlton Heston” or someone. You just needs to recite 16 lines into a microphone in our studio. You just need reliable transportation and a shred of acting experience would be nice.
  • Older Males/Females: Older male and female sounding voices.

Compensation:

These are not paid roles. We can offer gas money, but our budget cannot afford large sums as there are 41 character voices that are being replaced with ADR.

TKMoonlight is currently casting voice actors for season one of our original series, Knights of Searra. Knights of Searra is an animated Sci-Fi action drama web series. Prior acting experience is not necessary. There are 30+ roles to be filled. All characters are intended to be 18 years of age or older. Callback auditions will take place April 3rd, 2012.

  • West 18-28: (Male / 18-24 Years / Any Ethnicity) Fed up with the daily 9-5 grind West enlists in hopes of finding his true calling, as well as elevate his economic status. A very confident an easy going male in his mid twenties, West relishes the chance to take charge in an given situation. Accent: British
  • Clay 18-28: (Male / 18-24 Years / Any Ethnicity) A long time friend and co-worker of West, Clay enlists as a last chance effort to salvage what remains of his once promising life. Clay is a male in his mid twenties who wears his heart on his sleeves. He constantly tries to see the best in people, which leaves him vulnerable and often in emotional distress. Accent: None
  • Devyn 18-35: (Female / Any Years / Any Ethnicity) An elite pilot and squad general, Devyn is a no-nonsense female. She burries her emotions deep and leads with an iron fist, which leaves her squad members wondering what dark secrets she keeps locked away. Accent: None
  • Heath 18-28: (Male / 18-24 Years / Any Ethnicity) An easy going male who swears he was a tough wrangling cowboy in his previous life. Provides some comedic relief for his squad in moments when smiles are scarce. Accent: Southern
  • Quilo 18-40: (Male / Any Years / Any Ethnicity) An intelligent male whose personality can be a bit stale at time. Quilo is the voice of reason when situations spiral out of control. Accents: None (Soft intellectual tone)
  • Jade 18-28: (Female / 18-24 Years / Any Ethnicity) A vigilante / ultramodern robin hood. Jade seeks to expose the corruption embedded deep within the colonial government. A young, warm hearted female who will stop at nothing to complete her objective. Accents: None
  • Multiple Roles: (Either Gender / Any Years / Any Ethnicity)

Compensation:

All opening positions are currently unpaid. Actors who are cast will be offered a contract spanning the entire nine episodes of season one. Details of compensation will be discussed individually.

“One: The Story of a Dollar” Casting Call for Short Film (Ann Arbor, MI)

Casting Actors for the Film “One”

“One” is a short film being produced in Ann Arbor about “a curious, magic dollar bill that escapes from a suburban bank and sets off on a dangerous journey to see the world.” Both stop‐motion and vfx will be employed to bring the bill to life.

The film will be shot throughout Southeastern Michigan. The exact schedule for shooting will be determined in the coming weeks, but expect to work on the weekend of August 20‐21.

Audition Details:

Auditions will be held Friday, July 15 from 2:00 – 4:30 PM.

  • ELIZABETH/LIZZY JONES: Lizzy is the young, precocious little girl who saves the magic dollar from suburbia. She is the main character of the film alongside the bill itself. Looking for a young actress strictly between 8‐10 years of age.
  • ROSEMARY HELMS: Rosemary is the ornery older woman who hates small bills, but inadvertently helps the dollar on its journey. Looking for an actress that can portray someone in her late 60s – early 70s.
  • BANK TELLER (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a male actor that can portray someone in his early 20s.
  • POST OFFICE TELLER (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a female actor that can portray someone in her 30s.
  • ATM MAN (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a male actor that can portray someone in his early 50s.
  • LIZZY’S DAD (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a male actor that can portray someone in his late 30s.

Compensation:

This film is a low‐budget project, so the job will be unpaid, but expect to have a great experience with a talented crew that are motivated to tell a compelling story. This film is planned to be shown at many venues, including film festivals. Also, all actors involved in the project will get DVDs of the film and an on‐screen credit.
