Casting leading roles for a comedy web show 8-10 minute episodes. Working title is Pseudo Politico about an odd group of college students living together in an apartment complex. Production will take place around the Detroit Metro region, primarily in the Rochester, MI area.

The Daily Grinds Web Series

The web series “The Daily Grinds” is looking to cast a female lead role. They shoot Thursday nights and anytime on Sunday. Preferably looking for someone with open availability for filming and their own source of transportation. Filming in Royal Oak, Ferndale, Mt. Clemens, and Detroit.

Plot:

This is a mockumentary style webisode based on life in a corporate coffee shop. The plot follows the employees of the coffee shop at work and peppers in entertaining anecdotes from their personal lives.

Available Roles:

  • Hannah: (21) Young 21-25 yr old, female, hipster. Small build with brown or blond hair. She is a main character and will need to have an open availability for filming.

Okemos Modeling and Talent Agency is hosting auditions for the premiere of their “Speak Out” series. Have you ever been mislead, annoyed, disrespected or jerked around by corporations and/or service companies? Have you ever bought a cable package for one price only to have it double 6 months later or bought a warranty for an item and the one thing that breaks is NOT covered causing you to pay for the full repair? Then “Speak Out” is an audition for you! On July 27th, Okemos Modeling and Talent invites you to come and voice your complaints on tape. Plot:

This is a mockumentary style webisode based on life in a corporate coffee shop. The plot follows the employees of the coffee shop at work and peppers in entertaining anecdotes from their personal lives.

  • Extras: (Male or female, ages 18+, open ethnicity) Need Renaissance Festival actors or LARP-ers for a quick shoot. You must be dressed in costume to do a mock coronation ceremony.

25 Once Productions are looking for dedicated rising actors to be apart of our webseries! The webseries is about four girlfriends in their mid 20’s trying to figure out their love lives, career and friendships. The series will be shot in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area on Sundays. ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO SHOOT MOST SUNDAYS!

Available Roles:

  • Braelin Dent: (Male, African American/Mixed/Hispanic, Over 5’5) Syn’s best friend and business partner (party promoter). They previously explored being more than friends but decided against a relationship. The feelings are still there and there is tons of chemistry. He smart, confident and very business oriented. He’s always about his business but he also knows how to have a good time. He’s laid back and charming and he’s a player. He knows that Syn is his future and he’s just bidding time until she’s ready for a relationship. Confident, but not overly cocky, smart, street smart, fun, child at heart, ready to settle down. Says what he means and means what he says, laid back, business oriented, focused, gets along well with other, meticulous in his style of dress, real, upfront.
  • Kenyon “KDub” Washington: (Male, Attractive African American/ Hispanic/ Mixed, preferably tall and well built) He’s Brynn’s steady boyfriend who works as a popular host on the local radio station. He’s very popular in the city and is good friends with Braelin. He tries to make sure Brynn knows that he’s faithful but he constantly has groupies that Brynn often gets on his case about. He’s always tempted by the groupies who make it easy to cheat but he tries his hardest to be faithful. Type A personality, outgoing, fun, aggressive, and daring (he’ll try anything once) He’s spontaneous and money hungry, he’s always down for a new hustle. He’s loves Brynn completely and tries not to intentionally hurt her. He wants to move to TV which would cause him to move out of state and that affects his relationship with Brynn. He’s a happy person and it takes a lot to get him upset, but when he reaches that point he’s hard to calm down.
  • Taj Monroe: (Female, Attractive, no height/weight requirement African American/Hispanic/mixed race) She’s hopped around different colleges for years, changing her major, personality and style based on the man she’s presently dating. She doesn’t see the point in getting a degree, figuring her time in school will eventually land her a man, which is all she thinks she needs in order to have a good life. She’s confident on the outside but Insecure deep down, loud, funny, slightly dense, quirky, generous, naïve, easily bored and distracted, friendly, accepting, loyal, people-pleaser, her fashion changes episode to episode until she starts to find herself.
  • Syn Moore: (Female, age 23, Attractive, no height/weight requirement African American/Hispanic/mixed race) She’s a party promoter who’s been doing it since she was 18. She loves her job but she knows that she can’t do it forever so she dabbles in several other careers until she is handed the job of artist managers by an artist she hires for a party. Green to the music world, she makes several missteps before she regains her footing and gets the hang of things. She’s a party girl with a colorful past who’s trying to make something of herself despite what people used to say about her. Smart, down to earth, likeable, driven, ambitious, business savvy, quick learner, focused, enthusiastic about whatever she’s into, says what’s on her mind.

Casting a female actor and crew for a YouTube show with two host that also do pranks. Imagine a cross between Tosh.O and MTV Pranked. We want to do a weekly broadcast. This will be a very fun opportunity! Shooting will start in early August in Shelby Township, MI.

Available Roles:

  • Male (Lead Host): Already casted.
  • Female(Lead Host): Outgoing and funny. Ability to improvise. Acting experience is a plus. Age 18-25

Available Crew Positions:

  • 1 Camera Operator

Compensation:

The web series “The Daily Grinds” is still looking to cast a male actor to play Logan. Most of the series will be shot in the Birmingham palladium, which we are transforming into a coffee shop. You must be available Wednesday, June 27th for the first day of filming.

Plot:

This is a mockumentary style webisode based on life in a corporate coffee shop. The plot follows the employees of the coffee shop at work and peppers in entertaining anecdotes from their personal lives.

Available Roles:

  • Logan: (Male, Caucasian, ages 25-30) Athletic body with a winning smile. Logans character is very good looking, and well groomed. It is important that he looks like he is in his late 20s.

“Singularity” Web Series Casting Call

Casting Actors and Actresses for Remaining Roles

Epyon Entertainment will be holding a casting call to fill the remaining roles for their newest POC, “Singularity”. Looking for actors age 20 and older.  Shooting takes place in Ann Arbor, MI.

Plot:

A futuristic story about super-powered human beings.

Available Roles:

  • Martin Angel: (Male, age range: Late 40’s to early 50’s) Currently the CEO of Hammerfell Security Concepts. Martin, a former agent of MI-5 join Hammerfell on it advisor board four years before becoming it’s CEO. Master business man and militarily minded, as CEO of Hammerfell Martin has taking the company to new heights. Often charismatic and attuned to his image and importance of appearances, consumed by career; every activity is tinged with corporate position. There is no distance between work and play for Martin, every second of everyday is about the growth of Hammerfell.
  • Jonas Norton: (Male, age range: Late 30’s early 40’s) Currently the Chief of Operations of Hammerfell Security Concept. Jonas is a very hard military man that has worked for Hammerfell for 15 years. However, during the last two years as the COO, his short time has transformed Hammerfell R & D programs and projects and push them to the bleeding edge of military technology in the world. Jonas is Martin Angel’s right hand man and the stick to Martin’s carrot.
  • Theresa Dougan: (Female, age range: Late 20’s early 30’s) Acting CEO and President of the Foundation Corp. With Gavin Mills entering a coma Theresa Dougan was named by the board of the Foundation Corp at the age of 28. Like most that work in the higher levels of the Foundation Theresa is quite gifted in business management and mathematics. Stunningly beautiful and charming, Theresa uses all her abilities and more to further her gains within and for the Foundation Corp. Theresa is objective and realistic with the intent upon exercising and maintaining control of the Foundation Corp against those who may not see the wisdom within her vision.

Compensation:

These are not paid roles however a full acting credit will be received along with DVD copy of shorts, auditions to the pilot production, food and gas money.

General Casting Call for Actors and Actresses

Traverse City YouTube Project

Casting actors specifically in the Traverse City (or relatively nearby) area, for a YouTube project. At this time, we are in concept and writing toward a once weekly series of YouTube videos, as well as several one-time videos. They all will be comedy. Auditions are TBD, but we are targeting late June 2012.

Available Roles:

  • Talent:  We are looking for a diverse demographic range, however most of our videos will involve characters aged approximately 18-32.

Compensation:

As we are a new start-up, this is unpaid at this time. Our goal is to achieve a YouTube partnership and start generating revenue, at which point we may be able to compensate actors retroactively for their involvement, but we cannot guarantee any compensation. We hope to attract talent that wants to be involved for the joy of their craft, knowing that the potential of being paid for your work is only that: a potential, and not a guarantee. Let’s have fun!

Aroberson Production is casting 3 more featured extras for the web series, “Living it Up”.  One actress will be needed on Sunday, June 10th and a mother/daughter for the weekend of June 15th in Metro Detroit.

Plot:

“Living it Up” is a dramedy based around the life of Bianca Hicks, a psychology student and Chris Jackson an aspiring actor and model who lives in a society full of friendships and aspirations. Living in a world revolving around actors and models Bianca can only depend on those who are on the same set as her. Chris and Bianca will have to work together in order to survive in the world of talent. Through all the drama, this series is full of love, laughter, friendships, and non stop fun. Living it Up is the future.

Available Roles:

  • Actress: Female, brunette, any age (Sunday, June 10th)
  • Daughter: Female, African American, ages 13-15 (Weekend of June 15th)
