Weekly Sports Show “The Lineup” Casting Call

Co-Host Needed to Cover Major Sports and Detroit Teams

The Platform Network, a partnership between Duality Films and Coefficient Media, is holding a casting call to fill the available co-host role for their upcoming weekly sports show, called “The Lineup”. Auditions will be held in Jackson, MI on December 15th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

Available Roles:

  • Co-Host: (18+, any race, either gender) Interested applicants should be knowledgeable in the major sports, specifically in the realm of the Detroit teams (Tigers, Lions, Pistons, and Red Wings), and local college teams. Knowledge of the national sports scene and/or other sports (NASCAR, MMA, etc.) is a plus.

Compensation:

Compensation is TBD depending on Ad sales.

Extras Casting Call for “A Father’s Pain”

Casting Male & Female Extras for TV Series

The TV series, “A Fathers Pain” is looking to cast extras. Shooting takes place in the metro Detroit area.

Plot:

A Fathers Pain (TV Series) is a heart wrenching drama about A Fathers constant struggles while raising his two daughters… after his wife committed suicide. The youngest daughter deals with images of her mom and trying to know more about who she was. The oldest daughter deals with the pressure of high school and taking on a set of new emotions she is blind to, while becoming a woman. The father deals with all these issues and fights the world while trying to protect his young girls from the reality of life, but finds his self in a deeper downward spiral and questioning his ability to be a father. The dark drama is moved slightly away with a significant portion of comedic relief.

Available Roles:

  • Extras: Male and female, all ages, open ethnicity. We are looking for extras for the high school, house party, two restaurants, hospital and a city hall scene.

Looking to cast an actor for a series of “How To” videos. The monologue will not be fancy but rather down to earth making it easy for everyone to understand. The videos will be about video equipment so knowledge in this domain is a plus but not a requirement. Shooting will take place in metro Detroit.

  • Actor: (Male, ages 25-45, open ethnicity) Needs to be comfortable in front of the camera.

The TV series, “Lee Martin’s The Midnight Hour” is seeking experienced actors for an upcoming episode, “Wait ’til Your Father Gets Home.” Talent will be needed on set Saturday & Sunday, December 8 & 9 from 10am-10pm both days in metro Detroit.

Available Roles:

  • LOU: (Male 40-50) Father of teen who fights with his soon to be ex-wife until she hatches a plan to kill him and make it look like an accident. His voice is later heard emitting from young son Joel.
  • GRACE: (Female 40-50) Aggressive, bitchy nurse who makes daughter Becky help stage “accidental” death for husband Lou before he can leave her. She hates and resents Joel, his son by another woman.
  • JOEL: (Male 11-14) Lou’s son by his mistress who is hated by his half-sister Becky and step-mother Grace. He later becomes possessed by the spirit of his father and goes on a wild meat-cleaver killing spree.

The cable TV series, “Lee Martin’s The Midnight Hour,” has a fill-in opportunity for a male child actor. Talent will be needed on set Saturday & Sunday, November 10 & 11 from 10am-10pm both days in metro Detroit. The series is also looking for a home in the metro Detroit area (1,500 sq. ft. +) on a quiet street to shoot this episode.

Available Roles:

  • Child Actor: (Male, ages 9-11) Must be able to memorize lines verbatim and give a natural, unaffected delivery.

Casting Call for Actor to Play Santa Claus

Tell Tale Productions LLC, in conjunction with Paul Medawar Fine Jewelry, is seeking an actor to play Santa Claus for a 30 second TV commercial set to air this holiday season. This is a non-speaking part. Filming will take place Saturday, November 10th from approximately 3:00pm to 11:00pm. The shoot will take place on location at 4518 Plainfield Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.

Available Roles:

  • Santa Claus: (Caucasian, Male) Seeking an actor who matches the “typical” look of the traditional Santa Claus. Being able to provide your own red Santa suit is preferable, but we will supply if need be.

Compensation:

This is not a paid gig, but an excellent opportunity that will be great for the resume. Talent will receive a copy of the commercial upon completion.
