“CONSIDERATION” Casting Call for Feature Length Film

Auditions for Lead and Supporting Roles

“Consideration” is a feature-length independent drama that will be released on the festival circuit in 2013. The film will be directed by V. Prasad (screenwriter of “Ocean of Pearls”) and shot by Victor Fanucchi (director of “Art House”). They are currently casting actors for an August 2012 shoot in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas.

Storyline:

Underemployed and living with her parents, a law school grad enters into an arrangement with a wealthy older man to pay off her mounting student loan debt.

Available Roles:

  • [JESSICA HARIS – LEAD ROLE] Early to Mid 20s. , Jessica’s in every scene. Attractive (enough to draw the attention of men) and intelligent (enough to graduate from law school), Jessica is also a bit guarded. Although, she would call it being pragmatic.
  • [HENRY MCCOMB] Late 40s to Early 50s. Divorced and wealthy, Henry is the kind of person who does a cost-benefit analysis on everything, including relationships. He is looking for an arrangement that provides more intellectual stimulation then he would get from an escort, but without the emotional attachment of girlfriend.

Compensation:

Unpaid for Non-Union; $100/day for SAG

Three time award winner, Sam Keeble, is making a new Western/Noir film called, “The Kings of Wildly”. He is looking to cast 3 actors for lead roles. Shooting will take place in metro Detroit the last three weekends of May.

Plot:

“The Kings of Wildly,” a Western/Noir/Period film about the importance of support and family.

“Abduction Day” Casting & Crew Call

Cast and crew are being sought for “Abduction Day.” Produced by Affective Electromagnetic and Oscillational Industries, the independent film will combine comedy, horror and science-fiction. The film will be shot in and around the Kalamazoo area. Filming, which will take place on weekends, is slated to begin June, 2012 and end September, 2012.

  • Neil: Thirty-five years old, he looks like the guy next-door and is a product of the Midwest. His life is falling apart around him.

  • Moulton: Simple, but good-natured, he is in his mid-thirties.
  • Lu: Possessing boyish looks and youthful energy, he is in his early twenties.
  • Betty: She is an attractive mother-to-be in her early thirties.
  • Florence: In her late fifties, she is protective of her daughter and critical of her daughter’s husband.

WhiteShore Films is still looking for a Caucasian 26-35 year old woman for the role of ‘KARA’ in “The Taker”, a 15 minute short Christian film. They will be shooting up near Silver Lake, Hart, and Ludington area from May 23rd to May 26th, 2012. People can arrive at their lodging in the evening of May 22.

Plot:

“The Taker” is about a man who prepares himself to protect his family from the Taker the next time it comes around to harm his family. The Taker is a fantasy/thriller, 15 minute short film. There is much grief in this film, which is balanced with joy. There are also darker elements, which are balanced by beauty. “The Taker” is going to be an outreach for men to stand up and protect their families from hostilities outside, to have the courage to do so. This movie will also show families to stay strong for each other, especially in the hard times.

Available Roles:

  • KARA: (26-35 years old) She is strong and intelligent, though she often leaves her grief hidden in her own heart. When she lost Lana, her daughter, her grief spills from her, though she tried to not let that happen. She is a faithful wife to her husband, Joshua, and would follow him anywhere. Physically fit, a slight sadness on her face, even when there’s joy.

Compensation:

These are not paid roles. Housing and food will be provided for cast and crew. Plus a free copy of the film when completed, a WhiteShore Films T-Shirt, and a credit.

Aaron Russman – A Picture Show Film Company

Aaron Russman

Aaron Russman, a filmmaker from Grand Rapids is casting for his upcoming feature film. It is a modern adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell Tale Heart, a psychological thriller/horror film. The film is scheduled to be shot June 9th to 17th in and around the Grand Rapids & Lansing areas.

Available Roles:

  • Main Antagonist: A Caucasian male in his late 60′s/70′s to play the main antagonist, a wealthy recluse, in my mind tall and thin, very creepy. A Mr. Scrooge type for instance.
  • Bank Employee: A young woman in her 20′s, able to play a supporting role as a friendly bank employee.
  • Bank Manager: A middle-aged male who can portray a bank manager, in this case, a sniveling, petty little man.
  • 2 Police Detectives: Males in their 30′s/40′s who can convincingly portray police detectives.

Compensation:

These are paid roles, some shot in only a day/night, others will be a two day/night shoot, possibly three.

Open Auditions for Actors in East Lansing

Jim Smith is holding open auditions tomorrow and Sunday for a full-length feature film shooting over the summer of 2012 in East Lansing. There are 29 parts available, mostly for college-age actors but also a few adult roles. Actors can choose which roles they’d like to audition for, and which scene they’ll read, and the production team will take care of other characters’ lines.

Synopsis:

This Spying Life is best described as a cross between Brick and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Students at two different colleges are engaged in a prolonged espionage war with each other, trying to give their schools the upper hand in procuring state funding, athletics, and general prestige. The focus lies on one side of the war, at Elliott Ness College, where the two leaders of the school’s “intelligence agency” are forced to recalculate their strategic environment when a “defector” transfers from the other side and asks to join the agency. Combining a spy thriller and a love story, with comic elements and a running commentary on college life, This Spying Life has something for everyone.

Casting talent for an educational video that is filming this May and June in Detroit, MI. This educational is for those entering the medical field. The positions are great for actors/actresses/spokes models or students of acting/communications or speech. The positions we are filling are for one day. This is a speaking position. There will be filming days available in May and June  2012.

  • Actors/Models: Male or Female. The age range is 18-50 and we have several positions available. We have a special need for college students 18-24.
