Talent will be needed on Sunday, February 12th in the evening. Shooting locations include Birmingham, Detroit and 2 others in metro Detroit. Get the exposure over 200+ websites, blogs and Internet & TV music channels. Plus get connected and seen with major liquor brands and fashion companies.

Available Roles:

  • 5 Models/Actresses: Female, open ethnicity, ages 18-28.

Compensation:

Payment will be $25 per 2 hours and generally you will receive complimentary NUVO (21-up only). You will receive a copy of the video for your portfolio upon request and references from our company. Also you will be considered for hire as one of our promo models which you will be featured in our upcoming Fashion and Super Swag Tour 2012 tentatively in Detroit Michigan, Miami Florida. Atlanta, Georgia and Nashville, Tennessee which will have a starting pay rate of $50hr up to $150hr.

“Contemplation” Casting for Dark Psychological Experimental Film

Casting Call for Actors and Child Actors

The working title of the film is “Contemplation”. It is a quite dark psychological experimental film, shot with 16mm film on film camera. Shooting will take place mostly in Ann Arbor (around U of M campus) and there may be places around Ann Arbor that are about 30 minutes away. We will have to start shooting next weekend, which would be from February 10th to 12th. Shooting should not take more than the weekend. Detailed time will be discussed, and is very flexible depending on the actors’ schedule.

Synopsis:

The story is about a young man contemplating about his life as he is sitting on a toilet, going to the bathroom. He looks malnourished, tired and is reminiscing about his state of mind. The film will include a monologue of him talking about his state of mind, and as he reminisces, there will be flashbacks of his past with his family and his life at school being bullied. The voice inside his head portrays all of these in a poetic way, as the man struggles to cope with accepting who he is. The film ends with him in a psych ward room, looking out the window, revealing that what was seen was an imagination from his head.

Available Roles:

  • 1 Young Man: Caucasian, age 18-30
  • Older Caucasian Adults: Caucasian. One man and woman to play the role of parents
  • 1 Boy: Caucasian, age 10-15. One boy to play the childhood of the man
  • 4-5 Kids: Boys and girls, open ethnicity, ages 10-15

Compensation:

These are not paid roles. We cannot pay the actors but food will be provided during shooting days.

  • Chrome: Adult male, Antagonist Chrome is an evil wizard who is hoarding the color from the shadow land to use for his magic. He seeks to capture Tom and use his imagination to take over the human world as well.

Plot:

A unique American story about the strained relationship between the first African American President, Denzel James and his 15 year old aspiring rapper son, Jamal.

Available Roles:

  • Jamal James: (The first son) African American male (look) between the ages of 13-16. Must be able to perform rap lyrics.(will be asked to perform rap in audition)
  • Katherine Kneel: (Press Secretary) Open ethnicity, ages 25-40. Must be very well-spoken & attractive.
  • (10) Secret Service Agents: 7 males, 3 females. Open ethnicity, ages 25-40. Must be fit.
  • Two White House Guards/ Marines: Male, open ethnicity, ages 20-40. Must have access to a Marine uniform. (dress blues)
  • Alex Williams: (CNN White House Correspondent) Well spoken, clean-cut African American male between the ages of 25-40.
  • Jamal’s Rap Group Members: (Ralow, B-Nice, & Kyrun) Male, African American, ages 14-16. Must be able to perform rap lyrics. (will be asked to perform a rap in the audition).
  • Executive Assistant to the President: Open ethnicity, ages 45+

Casting actors and actresses with diverse backgrounds for a promo for a documentary. The Expense of Learning is a controversial documentary created to discuss the rise in the costs of college tuition in Michigan and how it affects students access to higher education.

Available Roles:

  • Actors: Looking for males between the ages of 18-25 of different ethnicities with diverse backgrounds.
  • Actresses: Looking for females between the ages of 30-45 of different ethnicities with diverse backgrounds.

Firefly Films has openings for their next feature film “Bender”!  The full length feature film “Bender” is scheduled to be filmed in the Detroit area during March and April. They still have a few cast opportunities available and are looking to fill the positions.  Auditions are being held on February 12th, 2012 by appointment only.

Available Roles:

  • Mariana (Mariana Rivera): Latin. Beautiful, voluptuous, with dark raven hair. Mid 20′s – Mid 30′s. As intelligent as she is beautiful. She does not seem to realize how attractive she is.
  • Ma (Rick’s mother): Latin mother, very caring. Early 50′s to Mid 60′s.

Compensation:

Deferred contract of $50/day. Food will definitely be provided. You will get reputable credit on IMDb with your character name, a copy of the feature movie when complete, copies of photo stills from the website, as well as a ticket for you and a guest for the premiere.

Synopsis:

In the world of Hasidic Judaism, a man is expected to be married with children by the time he reaches his early twenties. As he reaches this age, Duvid Stern begins to feel immense pressure from all sides to settle down and find a wife. Sensing that perhaps this is not how Duvid wants to spend the rest of his life, his best friend Yoli introduces him to the underground world of Electronic Dance Music. It is here that he meets Lindsay Miller, a fun-loving rave girl who is just as intrigued by his strange customs and manner of dress as he is by her Technicolor hair and party-hard attitude. However, as Duvid falls for Lindsay and the techno rave lifestyle, he begins to sense that there is more to Toba, the quiet girl from back home who everyone expects him to marry, than the typical Hasidic housewife he first judged her as.

Available Roles:

  • SHANA: female, can play Hasidic, 40s. Duvid’s mother. Very traditional. She loves her son very much and wants him to settle down and start a family so that she can have grandchildren to love as well.
  • BORUCH: male, can play Hasidic, 40s. Duvid’s father. Very stern and very traditional. Wants Duvid to settle down with a family because that’s what men his age should do.
  • MENDEL: male, late 20s, Yoli’s dealer. Makes a living selling drugs to Hasidic Jews. Has experimented a bit too much with a bit too many substances, has achieved a bit of a perma-high.

Compensation:

These are unpaid roles. Film will be premiering at the Traverse City Film Festival in August.

Casting one actor and one actress for parts in the short thriller, “Cadence”. Shooting will take place in West Michigan.

  • ELLIE RIS: Female, open ethnicity, ages 25-35. Ellie is a scientist working on a cutting edge project at Cadence Laboratories. She leads a solitary life and has a habit of bringing her work home with her.
  • ERIC MCTAVISH: Male, open ethnicity, ages 25-35. A brilliant computer engineer and a man of few words, Eric is Ellie’s partner at Cadence Laboratories.

Compensation:

These are not paid roles, but all actors involved in the project will get DVDs of the film and an on-screen credit. Food services will also be provided.
