Auditions for Actors and Actresses
Gabe Melinn, writer, producer, and director is gearing up to produce a short film, “The End”. We are looking for cast members for the film. Filming will take place over a few Saturdays in July 2012 at various locations in and around Grand Rapids, MI.
Plot:
The short film is based on the world’s water being in short supply and one man’s crazy idea that everybody in the United States will be coming to Michigan makes him take up arms to defend his home and water supply.
Audition details:
Friday, June 8th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in Wyoming, MI
Available Roles:
- Casey: (Female ages 25 – 40) Attractive, at least shoulder length hair
- Kyle: (Male age’s 25 – 40) Scruffy longer hair on top – possible beard or mustache
- Bill: (Male age’s 25 – 40) Clean cut possible beard or mustache
- Liz: (Female age’s 13 – 16) Long hair MUST be able to cry on the spot.
- Stacey: (Female ages 18 – 25) Attractive must be able to act
- Ryan: (Male age’s 18 – 25) Short hair clean cut
- Dick: (Male age’s 25 – 40) Can be overweight short hair retail mgr
- Brad: (Male ages 50 – 60) Can be overweight must have southern accent.
- Jon: (Male age’s 25 – 40) Should be clean cut possible mustache
- Extras: (Males ages 18 – 40)
Compensation:
These are not paid roles. Lunch will be provided.

Auditions for Actors and Extras

Duality Films is holding auditions for their upcoming short film “Print is Dead”. Principle photography is scheduled for May 26-27 in Jackson, MI. If chosen, you will be called in for a cold read audition in Jackson, MI on May 12th. This is the only date we are holding the auditions.
Synopsis:
“Print is Dead” is a short film about a famous writer, Distin, finds himself amid a scandal involving accusations made by his mentor, Professor Brown. When Distin confronts the Professor, he finds that it isn’t just his career that the Professor is out to destroy.
Available Roles:
- CALLIOPE: Female, 25-35, Dark Hair, Mediterranean skin tone (Think Emmanuelle Chriqui) – This is the lead female role. Preferred background in modeling or dance (but not required), as this role requires significant symbolism through movement and facial expression without overacting.
- PROFESSOR ALLAN BROWN: Male, 45-60, Open Ethnicity – This role is the main antagonist of the film, must have a “College Professor” look, with a hidden sinister side.
Available Extras Roles:
- REPORTER: Age 18-22 – This role is a reporter for the college’s student paper, to whom Professor Brown reveals the plot. There are a few lines.
- BARTENDER: No lines, for a flashback sequence
- BAR PATRONS: No lines, for a flashback sequence
- STUDENTS: Ages 18-22, must look like a college student, one of the extras will have a line with Professor Brown.
Compensation:
These are not paid positions at this time. The application is in to make this a SAG-eligible shoot. If you are not SAG, this would be a good opportunity to gain access to the union if the application is approved. We will provide food, copy and credit for each day of shooting.

At Risk Entertainment Casting for Comedy Film

At Risk Entertainment is casting for the short comedy film “Trouble Summer”. They are looking to cast 20 child actors for extras roles. They need the extras to walk from school (to re-create school ending).

Background Talent Needed for “Rabid”
We are looking for both male and female talent that are 18 and older to be a part of a climactic scene of the movie, “Rabid”. This will be an exciting shoot with a lot of special effects.

Bed Roc Records Casting Call
Bed Roc Records, an independent record label in Michigan is currently casting a music video for female rapper Pasha’s new single “Beat To Get Freakkky”. The casting is for female/male dancers, models and extras. Shooting is scheduled on May 5th from 9:00am to 5:00pm in Flint, MI.
Available Roles:
- Dancers, Models and Extras: (Male or female, ages of 21-35) The wardrobe will consist of biker and or rave style clothing for various motorcyle scenes . No bright colors (whites, reds and yellows) are allowed.
Compensation:
There is no compensation for this video but snacks will be provided on set and participants will receive the chance to be seen on major music websites and blogs that have featured artists like T.I., Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Drake and more!

Vulpes Pictures Casting and Crew Call

Vulpes Pictures is filming the pilot of the web series “Virgo”. They are looking to cast actors and extras for the series. The are also looking to fill a variety of crew positions. This project will be filming in May 2012 in Kalamazoo. The exact day has not been decided yet, but it will only be a one day shoot.
Available Roles:
- Sitko: Main villain of the series (male, 20s or 30s, 7 episodes)
- Burke: Executive (male, 40s or 50s, 1 episode)
- Interrogator: Villain who interrogates main character (male, 1 episode)
- Combat Extras: Extras for combat scenes. Few lines if any, but will be involved in heavy combat scenes with and without firearms. Must be able to engage in choreographed scenes, some of which will be physically intensive (male or female, 1 episode or multiple depending on role)
- Lab Techs Extras: Extras as lab techs (male or female, a few lines, multiple episodes but 1 day of shooting)
Available Crew Positions:
- Production Designer
- Makeup Artist: Must be able to produce cuts/scrapes/bruises as this series will involve several combat scenes
- Hairdresser
- Production Sound Mixer: In charge of capturing all audio during production
- Boom Operator
- Sound Designer: In charge of handling all sound in post-production

- Gaffer
- Script Supervisor

Compensation

SAG TV Series Needs Extras

Casting extras for the TV Series “Spunky Airlines”. Talent will be needed on April 28-29 in Burton, MI (Flint) with other episodes filming thru September 1st.
Plot:
Spunky Airlines is a sexy 30 minute comedy about 6 airline employees that work at Spunky Airlines, a dysfunctional airport that uses satire to keep the audience soaring with laughs from take-off to landing.

Cast & Crew Needed for Short Film

BroKen Productions is looking for cast and crew members for the short film, “Clemency”. The film is tentatively scheduled for summer 2012 in Metro Detroit. “Clemency” is a Christian film about redemption in the after-life. BroKen Productions is an independent film production company focused on Christian/faith based productions.
Available Roles:
- Dante/David: 18-30 year old Male, open ethnicity, Lead Character. These are twin brothers so this lead will play both characters (unless there are twins applying for both roles)
- Chris: 30-40 year old Male, open ethnicity. He is the eldest brother.
- 6 Extras: Male or female, open ethnicity, ages 18+. All are encouraged to apply.
Available Positions:
- Cinematographer – $75 per day
- Camera Assistant/Production Assistant – $50 per day
- Gaffer – $25 per day
Compensation:
For actors, these are non-paid roles. This is an independent film with an extremely small budget. Crew will be paid. Food will be provided during taping and rehearsals.

Casting Call for Actors and MUA
Casting actors for the new zombie web series, The Last Of Us”. It’s a teenage survival show. Looking for male and female actors of all ages to come and play zombies. Also looking for a makeup artist. The shoot will be scheduled for one day the week of April 9th after 4:00pm in the Pontiac/Waterford area. The exact day will be determined depending on talent availability.
Plot:
One boy wakes up to a zombie apocalypse his friend finds him and begin there battle to survive day by day later on they decide to go search for others and a safe area to hold up at but discovers its not that easy.
