Alliance Casting Corporation Open Call!
Alliance Casting Corporation along with Film Producers and Talent Agents will be holding an open casting call for Actors, Models, Singers, Dancers, and other Talent for upcoming films and projects.
Date: October 9th, 2010
Time: 10:00 AM – 9PM (Only taking those signed in by 6:00 pm)
Location: Michigan Production Complex 6875 N. Rochester Rd. Rochester Hills, MI 48306
What to Prepare:
All talent needs to bring a professional headshot and a resume. There is no fee for registration!
- Singers: Prepare 2 contrasting pieces of music, 16 bars each There will be NO accompanist
- Actors: Prepare a monologue, at least one minute in length Be prepared for improv exercises May be asked to do a cold read/improv scene
- Dancers: Prepare 2 dance numbers of contrasting styles, no longer than one minute in length Bring own music, CD player will be provided with a hook up for IPods
- Models: Prepare to showcase your walk and poses Female models in bathing suits and heels Male models in bathing suits and flat soled shoes/barefoot.
Styles: Commercial and high fashion.
NOTE: For models, if you are under 18 years old you may walk in age appropriate clothing that is figure flattering. Be prepared to be weighed and have your measurements taken.
Some Tips to Remember:
- We want you to audition at your best ability so when you walk through that door, please remember we are a team, so smile and let’s have a great time.
- Dress appropriately. The way you present yourself is your interview.
- Confidence is key. If you are not confident in your talents, how can you ask us to be confident in you. SELL IT!

Former Michael Jackson choreographer, Courtney Miller Jr., is holding auditions for dancers for the upcoming “Harold and Kumar 3″ movie this Saturday. Courtney is looking to fill 30 dancer spots.

Dancer Requirements:
Women should be between 20 and 25 years old, with strong experience in jazz dance. Women must be between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall.
Men should be between ages of 20 and 25 years old, with strong experience in jazz, hip-hop and break dancing. Men must be between 5 feet 5 inches and 6 feet tall.
Gymnastics skills are a bonus.

MOTOR CITY MOVEMENT: A Collaboration of Choreographers
Looking for choreographers/dancers to submit pieces for MOTOR CITY MOVEMENT: A Collaboration of Choreographers!!!!
MCM is the the hottest dance collaboration to come to Metro Detroit! The show will feature Metro Detroit’s most talented choreographers and dancers! Several well-known and hot new choreographers are already lined up, but we want more! We want YOU! Do not sleep on this opportunity! Everyone who is anyone in the Detroit dance scene will be there. We are looking to help promote dance and the arts while also helping to get out YOUR name!! The sooner you hop on board the sooner we can start advertising YOU! Let’s create a buzz!!
SHOW INFO:
The show is at the Crofoot Ballrom in Pontiac on July 30th. Doors will open at 7:30 pm.
18 & up only to attend. The choreographer must be 18 & up as well but performers can be 16 & up. Please specify if any of your dancers are under 18 at time of audition.

All pieces for the show must be set choreography, not freestyle, and must have at least two people performing in the group. You do not need to audition the exact dance you will be doing, or even with the exact ppl, but it needs to be in the same style of dance. Video submissions will also be accepted if you cannot make the auditions. Time limit for performance is 6 minutes. You will need to bring a CD with your music to the audition.

Dance Choreographer Coach
Detroits Semi Pro Football Team is starting 2010 Dance Team and we are in need of a coach.
The Dance Team performs jazz, hip hop, and pom style routines with skill and technique attained through years of dance experience
My name is Andrea, 21 years old and Im the advisor of the team. My duties will be putting the team together and holding try/outs, accounting records, fundraising maintenance, activities planning (camps, competitions, banquets, etc), and event scheduling…..I will also be a member on the team and the coach may also be on the team
Your duties will be to choreograph routines, choose music, help team perfect routines, work with advisor to schedule practices, detail technique and any other physical aspects of the dance team.

Motown Showdown Competition Auditions
SGI Productions along with the Ford Community Performing Arts Center are hosting “Motown’s Still Got It!” a statewide talent competition featuring song and dance among other talents, special guest performances, and judges. All contestants are competing to win the cash prize and representation package from SGI Productions. We are currently working with local celebrity Veronica Sworden from the hit TV show on CW50 “Gossip Girls.” The show will be recorded live in attendance by an audience of up to 1200 people. Entertainment industry executives such as agents, directors, producers, and managers will be in attendance to scout new talent for upcoming productions.
With the groundbreaking news of Michigan’s embrace to the entertainment industry, we are supremely confident that this is the most advantageous time to make this dream a reality. The News Herald, along with local media are strongly behind our efforts and encourage all talented students and pupils of our neighboring communities to get involved in this once in a lifetime experience. This competition is for ages 14-19 years old. Student or State ID proving age will be required.

Acappella auditions only. Prepare at least 2 songs.
Auditions will start promptly at 10:00AM. You may arrive at 9:30 to start the application process.

Experienced Dancers for Independent Music Video
Inquiring dancers should have experience with hip-hop dance styles and be able to pick up choreography quickly. There will be no compensation for this music video, but all dancers involved with this project can have a copy of the completed music video and a letter of recommendation upon request.

Choreographed Dance Routines
I am looking for a group of individuals to perform a short dance routine at a Mt. Clemens dance club on Saturday. You will have to learn the dance routine, feel free to throw in your own flavor, at the beginning of last week’s GLEE.
Glee Episode
Then show your moves at a Mt. Clemen’s dance club for a special guest. The routine will take only a matter of moments, but your group will be paid for this service.
Please contact with the number in your group and any information you have about your dancing abilities even if it’s that you love learning TV/Movie dance routines. A video of your routine will be required and we will promote this event through local media.
You must be 21 as this would be required to get into the club.

Oblivion Entertainment
Detroit’s newest performance troupe, is looking for a dancer that can learn choreography in a week. Preferably trained. No taller than 5’5″.
We will also audition anyone interested in any other acting opportunity, and we are also looking for stage combat people. Auditions will be held on Wednesday night, September 23, 2009. Please contact us for location.
We combine many aspects of performance into our shows. These include; fetish, stage combat, illusions, miming, burlesque and stage effects. We strive to adapt to themes and locations, and are able to perform a PG show as well as a full fetish night! We work and have associations with many local performers and other troupes in the area, making our shows a great combination of talent!
