Greeting actors, we are in need of a few talented people for our upcoming film. The film is titled “Death Be Not Proud”. Auditions will be held on May 29th and 30th in Grand Rapids, MI. Shooting is scheduled for June 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th.


Plot:

The story is set during the tail end of World War II. Klaus & Ellie, a young Nazi officer and a Jewish prisoner, attempt to escape the evil clutches of Klaus’s father, General Edzerd Adawolf.

Available Roles:

  • Edzerd Adawolf: Caucasian male, age 40-47. He’s the colonel of a concentration camp. He is prideful, powerful and does not tolerate anyone who is against the greater Germany. He is obsessed with legacy, the war and Hitler. He expects his son to be as great a man as he is and to make the Adawolf name something to remember.


  • Klaus Adawolf: He is the son of Edzerd. Caucasian male, age 21-25. Not proud or prideful like his father. He is against the war and does not share his fathers views. He won’t be a soldier, but rather is trying to escape Germany.
  • Ellie: Caucasian female, age 19-24. She’s Jewish and is in love with Klaus, who shares the same feelings. She’s sweet, tender, brave and hopeful.


  • SS Captain: Caucasian Male, age 29-36. He’s tough, mean and dangerous.


  • SS Private: Caucasian Male, age 21-28.


  • SS Private #2: Caucasian Male, age 21-28.



Compensation:

These are not paid roles. There will be food provided on set and gas compensation if driving long distances. Also you will receive a dvd copy of the finished film.

“Lord of the Drinks” Parody Film Casting Call

A casting call is being held for actors for the short film, “Lord of the Drinks”. This film is a parody of the Lord of the Rings movies, replacing specific dialogue with lines about drinking. There will be a series of short scenes that are each a different classic moment from the movies. Filming is scheduled for summer 2012 around Michigan, mostly in East Lansing.

  • Sam: (male age 21-30) loyal, caring, and half witted
  • Gandalf: (male age 21-70) a tall, wise, alcoholic wizard.
  • Merry: (male age 21-30) young with a good sense of fun
  • Pippin: (male age 21-30) young lad who always seems to be getting into trouble
  • Aragorn: (male age 21-40) strong bearded fella
  • Legolas: (male or female age 21-40) feminine, soft and delicate
  • Gimli: (male age 21-40) short, stubborn and loud
  • Boromir: (male age 21-40) must be able to deliver epics lines
  • Elrond: (male age 21-60) epic, wise and badass. Has a sense of delicacy about him.
  • Bilbo: (male age 21-60) mentally sick old man
  • Arwen: (female age 18 – 30) black hair, delicate and warm
  • Galadriel: (female age 18-30) blonde, commanding presence, delicate and cold
  • Ensemble: Various men in all shapes and sizes to be hobbits, elves, and dwarves.

“Projection” Extras Casting Call

Extras of All Ages Needed for Short Film

Projection Film

Casting extras for the 35-minute short film “Projection.” Talent will be needed on May 25th from 9:00am to 2:00pm and May 27th from 7:00pm to midnight. Both day shoot at The Civic Theater in Farmington, MI. Extras do not need to be available both days, but it would be great if some people could make both.

Synopsis:

This dark, multi-layered psychological thriller tells the story of a young woman (Abigail Cooper) who has long struggled to conceal a past traumatic event from her loved ones, but must relive it when the movie she attends violently comes to life, recreating the past and teaching her an important lesson. While the film’s main theme is overcoming fears, it also deals with the universal emotions of loneliness and learning one’s self-worth.

Available Roles:

  • Extras: Extras will play theater goers during a hostile take-over of the theater. Seeking a wide range of ages… so if anyone has aunts, uncles, parents, or grandparents available and willing, we would love to have them on set.

Extras Attire:

  • Men: Collared shirt (tie is optional) No jeans. Dockers or other dress pants encouraged. Neutral colors.
  • Women: Skirts are encouraged, but not required. If wearing pants, please wear dress slacks. Solid colors (dark reds, blues, greens ideal). Sundresses are an option.

Compensation:

No compensation, but both days will be catered and all extras will receive credit in the film.

Plot:

When Re the Egyptian father god of all, decides to go on a meditative journey, he leaves his inheritance to his two sons who fight over it and initially threaten the worlds existence.

Seeking 2 actors to play living statues of movie directors. Talent will be needed on Thursday, May 24th for an opening event in Toledo, from 8:00pm to midnight.

Available Roles:

  • Living Movie Director Statues:  These are not statues that will be stone still. Actors must have strong improvisational skills and decent movement skills.

Compensation:

All expenses will be covered including hotel ( if necessary), travel, and per diems. Pay is between $250 and $300 depending upon experience.

Plot:

Independent horror film about a group of psychos who drive an innocent man to kill against his will.

  • Single Woman: Woman ages 20-40. Small role.
  • Tony: Male ages 20-35. Wimpy and awkward henchman.
  • Sean: Male ages 25-35. Lead role. Former Navy Seal turned MMA fighter forced to commit unspeakable acts. Big and muscular. MMA/combat experience a plus.
  • Natalie: Female ages 25-35. Sean’s love interest. Casual and attractive girl next door look.
  • Chris: Male 25-35. A psychotic horror freak and evil mastermind.

We need to cast three roles for a short film, around 11 minutes long. “Have A Greet Day” is a comedy about a greeter at a department store, whose job is in jeopardy sue to cut backs. There is only one position for a greeter and the job comes down to either him or an elderly woman, Margaret, who is not ready to let go of the job.

  • Margaret: A elderly woman early 70′s. A sweet old women, but looks can be deceiving. She has 9 lines spanning 4 scenes.
  • James: A middle aged man desperately trying to hold onto the few strands of hair he has left. Struggling to keep his job as a greeter for a department store. He has 26 lines spanning 7 scenes, he is the main character.
  • Jerry: Mid to late 20′s. Friend of James who helps him along the way. He is only in one scene but has approximately 10 lines of dialogue.

Compensation:

The roles are unpaid, as it is for a student production, but might be shown qt bay city’s hells half mile film festival.

Looking to cast a male actor for the short film “Licorice”. We will be filming “Licorice” in Downtown Detroit on Monday, May 21st 2012. It is a short film written by Brandon W. Crockett and Directed by Tony Radin.

Plot:

Two misfit drug addicts discover the lifeless body of a hooker they spent the night partying with, but instead of dealing with the issue at hand the men focus more on their problems with each other than the life that has been lost.

Available Roles:

  • SONNY: Late 20′s-30′s, drug addicted slacker, good looking but rough around the edges. He has a cool/calm personality but can be cut-throat and unpredictable.

Compensation:

This is a non-paid role, one day shoot. You will receive IMDB credit and a digital copy of the finished project for your reel.

  • ANDI/SAMANTHA: (Female 22-26) Dual role as glamorous mother of small child who is murdered and years later, the bullied and frumpy child grown up.
  • TYLER: (Male 11-13) Valerie’s mean, spoiled, obnoxious kid brother who, like his older sister, gleefully bullies ANDI.

“Between You & I” is an exciting, original project is searching for talent. They are looking to cast two of the main leads. Auditions for the film will be held on Friday, May 18th at Oakland University and will be in the order of a first come first serve basis. Shooting is planned for May 20th, 2012 in metro Detroit.

Plot:

Through pain and aggression, two people with opposing addictions find more to their memories than they failed to care for. When their feelings for each other force a crying soberness and sadistic relations are noticed, realization of life takes over to soon destroy what they were meant to become.

Available Roles:

  • Kyra: (Female Lead, between the ages of 20-26, Caucasian) An archetypical loner. She’s smart, quick witted and running from a past she can’t remember. Kyra is doing what ever she can to escape reality, until she meets Jason who seems to remind her of a piece of herself that is long gone.
  • Jason: (Male Lead, between the ages of 20-26, Caucasian) Frustrated with his place in life, he’s cynical, rude, has a certain charm to him. His whole existence seems to be a blur of parties, work and failed relationships.

Compensation:

Food/catering will be provided on every shoot and meeting. Film and IMDb credits will also be provided.
