“The Competition” Open Auditions for Feature Length Film (Ann Arbor, MI)

Ann Arbor Film Auditions

You have all been invited to audition for an independent feature length film shooting in Ann Arbor throughout August of this year!

“The Competition” is about two friends struggling to come to terms with the idea that their friendship might be on the way out. As a lark one night, they come up with the concept of a competition in which, through a series of games and friendly challenges they’ll be able to determine who is cooler than the other.

Auditions will take place Wednesday May, 5th from 5-11 (depending on the amount of interest it may go shorter or longer.) Please e-mail me at inhopelandish@gmail.com to find out the exact location!

Because of the nature of the film it is important to plan on being there the entire time because we will need to pair you up with other actors and see where the right fits are.

The longer you are able to attend =
The more actors you can be paired up with =
The better your chances at being able to work on this project with us this summer.

At the audition you will be asked to prepare a monologue (which we will provide to you after a confirmation e-mail stating that you will be able to attend) Other than that you may or may not be asked to improvise scenes or read sides with another actor on the day.

Please e-mail me directly if you are interested in auditioning at: inhopelandish@gmail.com.

State your name, tell me a little about yourself and attach a picture and resume (if you have one, if you don’t have one, don’t worry about it.) Also include your number so that, in case the details of the audition change, we’re able to reach you.

I am looking to cast all characters for this dramedy that is in the style of films like ‘The Puffy Chair’, ‘Cyrus’ and ‘The Dark Knight’

I look forward to seeing all of you at the audition and if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me.

I am hoping that you have roles for a female teen. I have not seen a list of casting roles so I am submitting my headshot and resume. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
