Ann Arbor Auditions October 12th
An Ann Arbor based production company is casting for “Presenting the Invasion,” a short dark comedy about a couple in the 1930s, who hear a radio broadcast detailing an alien landing and must fight off their hysteria in order to protect themselves from the looming invasion.
- BETTY: Betty is a farmer’s housewife that glamorizes city life. The thought of an alien invasion makes her desperate to leave the farm. Looking for an actor that can portray someone in their 40s and white.
- HENRY: Henry is a bigoted World War I veteran. Born and raised on the same farm, he will cling to his home even if it means completely isolating himself from the world. Looking for an actor that can portray someone in their 50s and white.
Auditions will take place on Tuesday, October 12th at 6:00pm in Ann Arbor. If you have any time constraints, please let me know. We may have alternate audition dates.
We will be shooting outside of the Ann Arbor area. We are planning on shooting on the evenings of October 22-24; October 29-31; and possibly November 6th and 7th. The exact times will be determined in the upcoming weeks, but plan on evenings for the most part.
Also, due to the ultra low-budget nature of this film, this will be an unpaid job, but it will be a great chance to work with a talented crew that have gone through advanced film studies and have worked on major productions. Also, the film is planned to be distributed in a wide variety of film festivals.
