“Laughter on the 23rd Floor” Auditions (Ypsilanti, MI)

Casting Call for Actors Tonight

PTD Productions

Looking to be a part of a true ensemble show that provides laughs, fun and enjoyment? This is it! This is a great show that provides every character a chance to shine. Now, we all know that the rehearsal process can be long and often laborious. But we’re looking to make this a truly enjoyable process. Why do it if it’s not fun? We will be trying all sorts of things to bring these characters to life. There will be no limits to what we can try. Actor input is encouraged, expected and vital to the rehearsal process. So, if you are ready, gather your creativity and talent and bring it!

This show is set in 1953 and we will be making every effort to be as authentic as possible. That means that we may ask you to shave a beard, (especially for the female roles) or cut your hair. Rehearsals will run Jan. to March, 2011. Please bring any schedule conflicts to the audition. Additionally, since we are casting this show earlier than normal, there will be a couple of read-through sessions prior to the official start of rehearsal. We will be working to get “off-book” as soon as possible.
