Clarence is an obsessive-compulsive germ-a-phobe who has lost all hope in ever having a love life. However, his structured life is shaken upside down when his roommate’s messy and wild cousin, Jess, comes to live with them to heal from an addiction. Jess’s dark past and prying nature clash with Clarence’s ordered existence, and challenge him to overcome his fears and give dating one more shot.
Medium: 15 min. HD video
Genre: Buddy Drama-Comedy
Principal Photography: Late February-Late March

Available Roles:

  • Clarence: Male. 20s. Very rigid, structured, terribly afraid of germs, obsessive-compulsive, believes that his strange behavior prevents him from being “date-able.” He later realizes that sometimes he can put people before his “condition,” when he rescues Jess from an alcoholic relapse at a drunken party.
  • Jess: Female. 20s/early 30s. Wild, attractive, a hot mess, recovering alcoholic and drug addict, “easy” around most guys, intrusive, but has a good heart inside. Succumbing to her dark past, she has a drinking relapse, but still pushes Clarence to get back out into the dating world.
  • Shane: Male. 20s. Clarence’s roommate and Jess’s cousin. Kind, generally happy, usually considerate of Clarence. He takes a trip to a conference, leaving Clarence alone with Jess.
  • Scott: Male. 20s/early 30s. A jerk, disrespectful, mistreats and exploits Jess, uses her to satisfy his lust but doesn’t really care about her, a drinker, and wild.
  • Alana: Female. 20s. A friend of Jess’s friend. Jess matches her up with Clarence. She is smart, cute, understanding, and intuitive. She helps resolve the story as Clarence’s dating interest.
  • Partygoers: 8-15 extras. 20s/early 30s. Any sex.
  • Restaurant Customers: 7-10 extras. Any age. Any sex.
