Amy is a grad student struggling to find “real” work in economically depressed West-Michigan. As her part-time job at the local video store is about to end she struggles to find direction until a friendly admirer helps her find her way.

Available Roles:

  • Mary: (25-30 years old) Graduate student, hometown girl, works at the local video store to get by while she finishes her degree. She is smart, witty and lacks confidence. When she meets Simon she is encouraged to look beyond her small hometown.
  • Simon: (30-35 years old) Simon owns a small copy shop and meets Mary when she comes into the shop to make copies of her resume, but he has seen her before then from a distance.
