“Dissonance” Casting & Crew Call

Casting Actors and Crew for Short Film

Looking for cast and crew for the short film, “Dissonance”. It’s about two men who plan to rob a house, and their plans are thrown off when the daughter of the house owners is home and catches them. The shoot is scheduled for February 1st and 2nd, with the 3rd being an overflow day. Shooting will take place in Muskegon, MI.

Available Roles:

  • “Finch” is a quietly extreme character. He’s the “mastermind” of a robbery plan. Throughout the script his dark and twisted intentions slowly get revealed. This character isn’t for the light of heart.
  • “Trent” is a little bit of an indifferent character. He’s doing this robbery with Finch, who points out that Trent has money problems. Throughout the script he keeps wavering back and forth; he doesn’t want to carry out the robbery but he feels like he has no choice.
  • “Kate” is a young woman, and at the time of the robbery, the lone inhabitant of the house. She’s trying to appear strong and assertive, but it’s a nervous assertiveness. She’s not sure how this situation is going to play out but she’s trying to take control of it – although making the wrong decisions.

Available Crew Positions:

  • 1st Assistant Director
  • Gaffer
  • Grip
  • Sound Recordist
  • Key PA
  • Script Supervisor
  • 1st Assistant Camera

These are not paid roles. One meal per day will be provided, all cast and crew will get a copy of the film. We’re using this for a reel builder and because making movies is fun!
