Student Film “Childlike” Needs Actors
We need actors for our Filmmaking II class project. The 10 minute film’s working title is “Childlike”. It features 3 children who imagine they are adult spies stealing a “secret container” in reality, it is a jar of cookies. The film constantly switches from the spy world to the real world. Two children, Dan and Kate are brother and sister who play with their neighbor Pete. The sibling’s mother, the target agent, discovers them because Pete informs her of the plan.
We need 3 child characters and 3 adult characters. The actors for the child roles may have to be aged down, while we can either age the adult actors up or down (whichever is appropriate).
We will shoot in Ann Arbor for the agent scenes and in Bloomfield Hills for the child scenes (the mother character will shoot in both cities). We begin shooting November 13th and end November 22nd. All shooting for the children will be during the day on the weekend. Shooting for the adult agents will also be on weekends, but mostly in the evening. We may shoot the agent scenes during the week, depending on schedules.
We are looking for:
The 3 child characters are supposed to be 7 to 10 years old. We need youthful looking actors (two boys and a girl) from the ages of 7 to 18. We can age the actor down. Child actors will have personal assistants. The 3 adult characters (1 women and 2 men) are supposed to be from their late 20s to mid 40s. The mother character will also play an agent and should be in her 30s or 40s. We can either age up or down. Agents Dan, Kate and Pete should be in their late 20s to mid 30s. We can either age up or down.
We will provide food and may be able to compensate for gas for out-of -towners.
This casting call is now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied.
