Casting Arab American Actors for The Last Broadcast Film Series (Metro Detroit)

2nd Open Audition for “The Last Broadcast”

Looking for Arabic and/or Arab-American actors to audition for “The Last Broadcast.” These characters are crucial to the story and need to be casted! “The Last Broadcast” is an independent ZOMBIE/Horror/Drama Film Series being shot and produced in Michigan! Shooting is tentatively scheduled for October – December 2011 (Phase 1) and Spring 2012 (Phase 2). Filming takes place on weekends.

Available Roles:

  • Rayhan: Arabic Male, 40′s – 50′s, with black hair, a ruthless leader that shows no remorse for Americans. (Must Be Able To Speak Clear English To Be In Close Contact With The Director, And Must Also Speak Arabic For The Role.)
  • Samir: Arabic Male, early 40′s with short black hair, a very dedicated father and husband who will do anything to keep his family and loved ones safe. Husband to Farah, Father to Ainil and Amal. (Must Be Able To Speak Clear English To Be In Close Contact With The Director, And Must Also Speak Arabic For The Role.)
  • Farah: Arabic Female, late 30′s, or early 40′s with long black/brown hair, a very dedicated wife and mother. Wife to Samir, Mother to Ainil and Amal. (Must Be Able To Speak Clear English To Be In Close Contact With The Director, And Must Also Speak Arabic For The Role.)
  • Ainil: Arabic Female age 11 – 15yrs old, with long black or brown hair, a very shy girl who’s a very dedicated vegetarian. (Must Be Able To Speak Clear English To Be In Close Contact With The Director, And Must Also Speak Arabic For The Role.)
  • Amal: Arabic Male age 7 — 11 yrs old, with short black hair, a very typical little boy who is very curious, inquisitive. (Must Be Able To Speak Clear English To Be In Close Contact With The Director, And Must Also Speak Arabic For The Role.)
  • Saifullah: Arabic Male in early 40′s, with short black hair, facial hair ok. He is an extremely intimidating individual with an emotionless face. (Must Be Able To Speak Clear English To Be In Close Contact With The Director, And Must Also Speak Arabic For The Role.)

Compensation:

Non-SAG, No Compensation. Only Film Credit, Craft Services and Film References.

NOTE: Please include “TLB Audition” in the subject line of your email. Please specify the Character Side, and it will to be sent to you. Please familiarize yourself with the dialogue! Sides will be available for cold readings for other characters too. If chosen for the role, your character may continue in future chapters of The Last Broadcast series. When you arrive at the audition, you will be given a number. This is first come, first serve, no appointments! Please understand, you may have to wait! There will be a casting assistant to help you. Auditions will be taped and you will be required to sign a release form to that effect.
