Black Paper is a dramatic art house feature about a woman who fears she is going mad when she begins demonstrating hallucinatory symptoms similar to her husband’s following his death.
We are looking for actors capable of subdued, subtle performances for the following roles:
- Mark (supporting) – male, 30-40 – tries to come across as good-natured, but has ulterior motives; runs an art gallery; secretly in love with Ginny; can be a little smug at times.
- Steve (supporting) – male, 32-42 – Max’s deceased older brother; appears primarily in Max’s visions and flashbacks; Steve has been something of a failure in life, but enjoys vicarious (and sometimes manipulated) success through supporting Max’s work.
- Dr. Ullmann (bit) – female, 40-60 – head doctor at a mental hospital; comforting but authoritative.
Rates for all roles are $100 per full day on set and $50 per half-day on set. Actors will also receive a DVD copy of the finished film.
How to Apply:
Please send headshots and acting resumes, along with any questions, to the producer/director, Joshua Courtade at: firstname.lastname@example.org
