We are looking for actors to participate in a short play entitled,
“Performance Art in Front of an Audience Ought to be Entertaining”
This is a one-act experimental theater piece about the turbulent relationship between artist couple Carl Andre and Ana Mendieta. Specifically, it is an exchange between a mismatched couple that leads to a heated argument about adultery.
This production is being held in conjunction with the Grand Rapids Art Prize. The performances will take place on September 25th at 8:00pm, September 26th at 6:00pm and 8:00pm, and on September 27th at 2:00pm (four performances total) in Grand Rapids, MI.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
1) a Caucasian male actor in his late 40s or early 50s
2) a Latina (female) actor in her early to mid 30s who is fluently bilingual (in both English and in Spanish).
As the directors are located in California, applicant screening and initial readings will take place online (using Skype or some other teleconferencing utility). On site rehearsals will begin in September.
Please email your headshot and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
Though resources are limited, this is a paid engagement. Rates are negotiable. Can’t wait to meet you.
