“April in the D” Song Contest
April in the D” contest is back and Fox Sports is once again looking for entries from bands who want to create a song that promotes the Detroit sports teams focusing on the Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings. Songs are required to incorporate the phrase “April in the D.” Entries will be judged on creative lyrical use, production quality and originality. The entry receiving the most votes wins a $5,000 grand prize. Each of the three finalists will receive a professional recording session valued at $1,000.
To qualify, band members must be legal Michigan residents who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Bands or solo acts are asked to submit a video of their performance on DVD that is no longer than 3 minutes, 30 seconds. All entries must be submitted and postmarked by 11:59 pm on January 30th, 2011.
How to Enter:
To enter you must submit a legibly printed 3” x 5” postcard (approximate) that includes your full name, complete physical street address (including city, state, and zip code), daytime phone number (including area code), and e-mail address (if applicable), and a standard DVD copy of your original music video. Both items need to be mailed to the address below.
