New Castle and Parralax Partner to Bring Movie Work to Michigan
New Castle Entertainment has reached a two-year partnership agreement with Parallax Production Studios that is worth more than $60 million.
The partnership will bring all of New Castle’s post production work to Parallax’s new 24,000 square foot Southfield studios through 2010. Parallax will also provide New Castle with production space on their sound stage. The agreement is expected to bring work on at least 12 feature films to the studio over the next two years.
Under the agreement, Parallax will handle all aspects of post production, including editing, color correction, sound mixing, composing, animation and visual effects.

The project is expected to start filming in June. The film is expected to star Will Ferrell, who filmed “Semi-Pro” in Michigan, and Jerry Stiller from Seinfeld.Ten days after production ends on “Mr. Microphone” New Castle will start production on “Forsaken.” Based on a true story, that movie is expected to feature Eric Roberts, Michael Douglas, Kathy Bates and Brett Rice.
