June 28th Deadline
Just a reminder for earlybird registration with a discounted rate for The 48 Hour Film Project: Detroit is running now through June 28th! Many of you over the weekend participated in the DWIFF 48 Hour film challenge. So now you’ve got the team already in place, and you’ve demonstrated the skills first-hand in making a film in 48 hours. Now bring that to the citywide and national stage during the weekend of July 23-25th, 2010!
Returning for its third year, a mixture of new and returning teams will write, film, edit and turn in a film in 48 hours, and have it screen the following week at the Royal Oak Main Art Theatre. The overall winning team will go on to represent Detroit on an international scale as part of the ongoing competition.
We’ll also have prizes from our sponsors for the overall “Best Film” as determined by our judges, and four “Audience Choice” award winners for each screening that we hold. Also awards given out for “Best Acting”, “Best Direction”, “Best Sound” and others to be announced soon.
