Casting Call for Feature Length Film

Firefly Films has openings for their next feature film “Bender”! The full length feature film “Bender” is scheduled to be filmed in the Detroit area during March and April. They still have a few cast opportunities available and are looking to fill the positions. Auditions are being held on February 12th, 2012 by appointment only.
Available Roles:
- Mariana (Mariana Rivera): Latin. Beautiful, voluptuous, with dark raven hair. Mid 20′s – Mid 30′s. As intelligent as she is beautiful. She does not seem to realize how attractive she is.
- Ma (Rick’s mother): Latin mother, very caring. Early 50′s to Mid 60′s.
Compensation:
Deferred contract of $50/day. Food will definitely be provided. You will get reputable credit on IMDb with your character name, a copy of the feature movie when complete, copies of photo stills from the website, as well as a ticket for you and a guest for the premiere.

Casting Call for Actor and Actress

“First Breath” is a Compass College of Cinematic Arts student short film, shooting mid-march. They are looking to cast one actor and one actress.

Short Film Looking for Actors
The short film “Duvid” is auditioning several supporting roles for scenes to be shot in late February and mid-March (schedules vary by role). Auditions are by appointment and will be held on University of Michigan’s central campus in Ann Arbor.

Synopsis:
In the world of Hasidic Judaism, a man is expected to be married with children by the time he reaches his early twenties. As he reaches this age, Duvid Stern begins to feel immense pressure from all sides to settle down and find a wife. Sensing that perhaps this is not how Duvid wants to spend the rest of his life, his best friend Yoli introduces him to the underground world of Electronic Dance Music. It is here that he meets Lindsay Miller, a fun-loving rave girl who is just as intrigued by his strange customs and manner of dress as he is by her Technicolor hair and party-hard attitude. However, as Duvid falls for Lindsay and the techno rave lifestyle, he begins to sense that there is more to Toba, the quiet girl from back home who everyone expects him to marry, than the typical Hasidic housewife he first judged her as.
Available Roles:
- SHANA: female, can play Hasidic, 40s. Duvid’s mother. Very traditional. She loves her son very much and wants him to settle down and start a family so that she can have grandchildren to love as well.
- BORUCH: male, can play Hasidic, 40s. Duvid’s father. Very stern and very traditional. Wants Duvid to settle down with a family because that’s what men his age should do.
- MENDEL: male, late 20s, Yoli’s dealer. Makes a living selling drugs to Hasidic Jews. Has experimented a bit too much with a bit too many substances, has achieved a bit of a perma-high.
Compensation:
These are unpaid roles. Film will be premiering at the Traverse City Film Festival in August.

Casting Call for Short Thriller Film
Casting one actor and one actress for parts in the short thriller, “Cadence”. Shooting will take place in West Michigan.
Available Roles:
- ELLIE RIS: Female, open ethnicity, ages 25-35. Ellie is a scientist working on a cutting edge project at Cadence Laboratories. She leads a solitary life and has a habit of bringing her work home with her.
- ERIC MCTAVISH: Male, open ethnicity, ages 25-35. A brilliant computer engineer and a man of few words, Eric is Ellie’s partner at Cadence Laboratories.
Compensation:
These are not paid roles, but all actors involved in the project will get DVDs of the film and an on-screen credit. Food services will also be provided.

J Amore Casting for Actors

J Amore is having a casting call for the new hit play “One Big Mess” starring your girl Paigion from Hot 107.5 and guest host of 106 & Park. We are calling all actors and singers to be a part of this special production. One Big Mess is a play that will make you laugh, cry and think as the story unfolds. - Denzel: Handsome smooth talking ladies man who loves his daughter but takes his relationship with Kyla for granted. Though he does care for her he is a player who has no desire to change his ways just yet. (Any ethnicity 20′s to early 30′s)
- Clinton: Clinton is Denzel’s best friend who tries to convince him to appreciate what he has at home. He is well built (muscular) kind of nerd yet smooth in his own way. He is the night in shining armor type. (Any ethnicity 20′s to early 30′s)
- Pastor Roberts: He is a cheerful loving Pastor who tries to do the best he can for everyone. Things change when a bold confession rocks him to the core. (Any ethnicity 30′s to mid 50′s, must be a strong singer)
- Sister Regina: She is the gorgeous soft spoken wife of Pastor Roberts. She is strong in her faith and has a strong desire to please her man. (Any ethnicity mid 20′s to mid 30′s)
- Conrad: He is an overweight suck up who attends Pastor Roberts church. He is a yes man that winds up
doing more harm than good. (Any ethnicity early 30′s to mid 50′s)
- Sister Veronica: Conceited model type who is vain, bossy and stuck up. She believes the world should be handed to her on a silver platter and causes problems for others. (Caucasian female 20′s to early 30′s)
- Daughter of Kyla and Denzel: Typical fun loving kid who is a daddy’s girl. (Any ethnicity 7-12)
- We also need many people to play choir members along with musicians both young and old. So if you are an actor, singer, musician or have other talents that you could bring to this production please be sure to come out to the casting call.

“Incoming Tempt”, a Compass College of Cinematic Arts student film will be shooting March 5-7. They are looking to cast 2 actors and 1 actress.

Plot Summary:
Eric is an office worker drone whose life is boring except for his daily coffee break with Renee, the cute secretary who has just asked him out for drinks. Only one problem, he’s married and his conscience, a cartoon like angel on his shoulder named Ted, is terrible at keeping Eric away from temptation. It’s only with the help of Ted’s rival, a devil named Dale, that he will be able to save his job and keep drinks with Renee from turning into more. Produced and written by Michael McDonald and directed by Seth Stoltenow.
Available Roles:
- Eric / Ted / Dale: (Male, late 20s-early 30s) Office worker beaten down by a drone like existence. He has a very vivid good and bad side. Actor must be comfortable playing multiple roles.
- Renee: (Female, 20s) Attractive secretary who likes Eric and wants to ask him out. She’s a little shy but isn’t going to wait to be asked out when she knows what she wants.
- Hank: (Male, late 30s) Office manager who is frustrated by the incompetence of those below him.

Plot:
Jim helps George and Douglas, his son and stepson, clean out his ex-wife Clara’s, house after her death. While wandering around the house, Jim finds a photograph of George and himself. At George’s 8th birthday he remembers this day as, after an argument with Mary Anne, Clara’s mother, and Clara, his ex-wife tried to take his son away from him.
Available Roles:
- JIM (Past): Early 30′s, Caucasian male, average height, husky build, short dark hair. Construction worker. Quick to anger, but loves his son.
- JIM (Present): Mid 50′s, Caucasian male, salt and pepper hair. Retired EMT. A reserved and proud man, but emotional about his ex-wife’s death.
- CLARA (Past): Early 30′s, Caucasian female, short height, beautiful flowing long brown hair. Substitute teacher. Two months pregnant. Tolerant and civil, but has her limits.
- GARY (Past): Early 30′s, Caucasian male, tall and athletic, brown hair, clean cut. History teacher. Marathon runner. Polite and oblivious.
- GEORGE (Past): 8-10yrs old, short, skinny, shaggy brown hair. Very bright and happy boy.
- MARY ANNE (Past): Late 50′s early 60′s, short height, wavy grey hair. Sarcastic and cynical, but with good intentions.
- DOUGLAS: Early 20′s, tall, athletic build, short brown hair. Advertising intern. Soft spoken, emotionally aware.
- GEORGE (Present): Early 30′s, Caucasian male, tall, lean build, clean cut, short brown hair. Accountant. Caring, worries about Jim.
- EXTRAS: Children Extras needed for a birthday scene.
Compensation:
There is no pay but a copy of the film will be provided on completion and food on set will be provided.

A Crossover Parody of Twilight and the Twilight Zone

- Extras: (Any age)
- Blade & Buffy: Looking for as close of a look a like as we can for both.(or any other well known vampire slaying character you think you have a costume for.) If You have any clothing that at all resembles these characters: sunglasses jackets, etc., please wear to the audition. (no weapons please!)
Compensation:
This is not a paid gig, but food will be provided on set, and all cast members will receive a free copy of the finished Project.
