“PopStars” is a good old shoot em up action short. Starring Corey DeMeyers (a 3rd degree black belt and expert free runner) as a troubled young man stuck in a fast paced, dangerous but highly entertaining situation. Yes! there will be a lot of fightin’ and shootin’.

Synopsis:

To deal with a major tragedy that shatters his will to live, November, an emotionally tormented young man admits himself to a mental institution for rehabilitation. Though his search for meaning in life through mental health science seems futile, he manages to befriend a peculiar girl who shares with November her unique perspective of the world.

Available Roles

  • NOVEMBER (Male / 20’s): A grief-striken young man who was unable to save the life of his girlfriend, June. November admits himself to a mental rehabilitation center in an attempt
    to find peace and renewed meaning in life.
  • CADENCE (Female / 20’s): An eccentric girl lost in her own view of the world, She attempts to escape the confines of the institution and bring November along for the adventure..
  • STANTON (Male / Late 20’s): The wise and neurotic friend of November.
  • DR. THORPE (Male / 30’s to 50’s): November’s fatherly psychiatrist at the institution.
  • DR. HARLOW (Female / 30’s): A psychiatrist who works at the rehabilitation institution.
  • JUNE (Female / Late teens to 20’s): The lost love of November who drowned and now only exists in his memory.

Plot:

A suicidal teenager falls in love in a mental hospital.

  • Lawrence Taft: (Male Lead- 18-25) - Lawrence is dealing with depression, and he wants to die, but he’s not talking. Good looking, but not a model. Tall, thin, with shaggy hair.
  • Maddison Cross:(Female Lead 18-25) - Maddison is dealing with being bulimic. She’s the high school beauty queen, think Megan Fox, type A-personality, with sass
